Smart User Assigned Places (UAPs)

Managing field teams across routes, territories, or account lists just got a whole lot easier. With Smart User Assigned Places, you can automatically assign the right Missions to the right users in the right places—no spreadsheets, no manual updates, just smarter workflows.

Why Smart UAPs?

Smart UAPs are designed to help leaders stay focused on the big picture by ensuring Missions always reach the right users at the right locations. Whether you’re managing regional teams, rotating account assignments, or onboarding new hires, Smart UAPs help keep assignments accurate and up to date with zero manual effort.

How Smart UAPs Work

Smart UAPs automatically match users to places based on shared property values. For example, if a User has the property “Division: East” and a Place has the property “Region: East,” the system will assign that user to that place.

Assignments are synced three times a day—at 10 AM, 2 PM, and 4 AM in your company’s time zone—keeping everything fresh and accurate without intervention.

Getting Started: Configuring Smart UAPs

  1. Select Criteria
    In the Smart UAP configuration screen, choose a property for Users and a property for Places. These can be any available values—Role, Division, Territory, Account Type, and more.
  2. Preview Assignments
    Click Preview to view up to 25 sample assignments. This helps confirm that your selected filters return the user-place combinations you expect.
  3. Save Configuration
    Once everything looks right, click Save in the upper-right corner. Your Smart UAP is now live and will assign users automatically based on your criteria.

Combining Criteria for More Precision

Want to get more specific? Smart UAPs allow you to combine filters for tighter control:

  • Use + Add Filter to layer additional criteria
  • Filters use AND logic between properties, and OR logic between multiple values of a single property

Managing Smart UAPs

Need to pause or adjust a Smart UAP? It’s simple.

  • To deactivate: Open the configuration, click the Actions menu, and select Disable UAP.
  • To reactivate: Go to the Inactive tab, select your configuration, and click Enable.

This allows full control without losing your rule setup.
